About me
I am a Dutch journalist, entrepreneur, and innovator based in Finland since 1999, working at the intersection of Nordic society, resilience, innovation, business, and geopolitics.
With a background in journalism, digital publishing, and strategic communications, I combine editorial judgement with business insight to help organisations and audiences make sense of complex information environments.
I am a Founding Partner of Cluetail Oy, a boutique information services company supporting public- and private-sector teams operating across Nordic and European markets. At Cluetail, we:
- provide advanced information monitoring, discovery, and source curation, tracking trends, competitors, and emerging narratives to deliver actionable insight;
- develop strategic communication and inbound content approaches, including brand storytelling, media relations, and thought leadership;
- help Nordic companies explore, enter, and expand in mainland Europe – and vice versa- through market research, product evaluation, and tailored go-to-market strategies.
Alongside this work, I lead the development of Siftler: an open, transparent content discovery and recommendation initiative offering a European alternative to opaque, engagement-driven algorithms. The project focuses on user agency, democratic innovation, and strengthening Europe’s cognitive resilience in the attention layer of the social web.
